I hope ur joking with the second part, because a water ele and a warrior are apples and oranges. Eles wouldnt kill squat if opponents in AB would actually bother with shield sets and minor runes :P (And, in some cases, with monks lol). Agreed that MoI is borderline overpowered though. That and running water ele on grenz is very rewarding, but especially with a water ele you WILL need a good frontline to go with it else getting kills will be a drag in many cases.

Sword in AB is very strong, dont know what people like about hundred blades though I think it's not very much better then fresh monkey dung, but a bar with cripslash and shock is awesome pressure. The reason why it could be obsolete is that many teams already run rangers for cripple.

I bother with shield sets and runes. Nothing like seeing rodgorts for 66 or so and immolates for low 30s on a monk

I just really like MoI, its about the only ele build that can harm a ranger

There needs to be some serious balancing of the sides, which means that all of you must do your part if you wanna see all 5 maps. From what I've seen today, Kurz are disorganised and inexperienced; and it's gonna take more than cnex alliance to carry all of them. Unless anyone you have any bright ideas (please don't hesitate to suggest), then I call upon you to join the revolution.

My guild is only 7 man strong and pretty new, and we just found a really cool alliance that's very unwilling to switch sides, so don't count on us. Besides that I'm having too much fun fighting the lot of you. You ARE right though

Shield bash isn't bad at all, but I usually run Lion's in the empty spot cos it makes my warr a little bit more splittable and it resets the adrenaline timer.

I don't know if you switching sides is really the most motivational factor. I played against some srs/cnex people earlier today and while timer ran there was some local chatter where one of you guys said something along these lines: "Oh crap, a bunch of noobs again. We're gonna have to carry the pve'ers".
This must be truly motivational for the kurzick horde.

You lost btw. And aside from a seriously annoying MM your allies didn't really pull their share.

Back when me and some friends actually played AB regularly, I think the most fun thing to run was just 3 evis warriors going balls deep constantly.

If you don't suck as a monk and your teammates don't suck either, then /a for mobility is just vastly superior in AB

Maybe I'm biased after running nothing but dev hammer AB forever, but in general dev hammer > everything else because it can handle everything. So annoying when a cheesy R/A or sin with crit defenses tries to lineback (happens all the time..), but with dev hammer you just kite them until their stance / enchant expires, run your hammer chain and bull's strike when they try to head for the hills.

Was epic today, lots of good teams on kurz side, won some, lost some, ass still hurts from eF rape squad with godly mes and warrior. GG for finally shifting the balance. Didn't help I was on pblock mes, since I'm a mediocre mes, for me today was one of those days...

I get those kinds of trolls more when I play AB, really annoying. Even more because I usually pull my weight

. Just /ignore lol. It's just annoying sometimmes when I wait on front of the gate and 2 members from another team are standing right next to me ><. Makes you wonder how some people rake their teams together.

(In a non ab weekend, non ab quest day)

Did have some matches (, mostly on one of my mesmers,) where the number of shrines went up and down like a pingpong ball. 1-6, 6-1,2-5,5-2
Some weird matches those were.

One team cannot win a match alone. (In normal situations)

Please no Kaanai, then I will defect too LOL. A little relaxed pugging wasnt gonna work today, might as well get organised right away or just /resign. Tab invite teams got slaughtered at first go.

In the end we forced the opponent in a mob fight while the other team (that was luckily carried by an in game friend of mine) took all the shrines, we won eventually after a harsh match, but ONLY because the teams worked together.

Seems like AB is going somewhere after all, I played easier HA matches and codex arena is for choirboys, peace out

Wow, Etnaran second day in a row... I think we kept it off AL for most/all of the day yesterday. The bad part is nobody knows how to play these "new" maps ;p

Saltspray is easy, on of the few maps where capping isn't of utmost importance. The res points, however, are pretty vital. If you run standard AB cap builds there you're pretty sure to get rolled. The map is small so many skirmishes are very likely. The dragon proves to be a very potent ally. Etnaran is speed capping and ganking a lot to keep the enemy teams out of play, fast movement wins there as it's a rather large map.

yeah no kidding, i was almost lost on some of the maps having no ideas where the spawn/rez points were. took half the match to figure some of this crap out since its been so long since ive played these maps. (i dont play much on ab day because there are too many bad players out and i get annoyed) well that and i monked for some kurz pugs last night a bit and was really tired of the lux hex stacks after the first 3 mins of the match. cure hex on the 40/40 with veil on the recharge staff and i still couldnt keep up!

with that said it was great to see my fav map etnaran last night, soo pretty <3

Yeah take a holding build to saltspray and camp the bridge. As long as the other 8 guys on your team can hold the 2 shrines on one end you win.
